Summary: The U.S. Mission in Kathmandu, Nepal is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Resource Coordination Assistant (Program/Administrative support). This vacancy is open to all interested applicants.

Occasional Travel may be required to support Public Affairs Section’s projects and activities.

Duties

The Resource Coordination Assistant works under the direct supervision of the Resource Coordination Specialist (RCS) and is responsible for managing all administrative aspects of the Public Affairs Section. The incumbent supports RCS for grants administration; tracks and collaborates on program budgets and expenditures. Oversees Public Affairs Section employees’ Time & Attendance, travel, representation, vouchers, and other administrative tasks. The incumbent manages program calendars and serves as the primary point of contact for the section, ensuring that visitors (in person, via telephone, or via email) receive accurate and timely information with the highest levels of customer service

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:

All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and pre-employment medical exam.

Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Public Administration is required.

ADDITIONAL EMPLOYMENT CONSIDERATIONS

  • Current employees who used a hiring preference to gain employment who are within their first 90 calendar days of employment are not eligible. This does not apply when the hiring mechanism is TEMP or the work schedule is intermittent or irregular.
  • Candidates with a hiring preference who have already accepted a conditional offer of employment may NOT be extended a second conditional offer of employment unless and until they withdraw their candidacy for the first position in writing.
