Aasaman Nepal with British Council is implementing Girls Empowerment and Mainstreaming Sustainably (GEMS) project which aims to enhance the enabling policy environment for a gender-responsive and inclusive education and health system, improve self-efficacy and life skills of marginalized adolescent girls and enhance agency, networks, and collaboration for enabling girls to claim their rights.
The Aasaman Nepal is looking for the self-motivated, result oriented and hard-working Nepali citizen for the following positions:
Program Coordinator – 1 (Surkhet) (Female only)
Key Responsibilities:
- Programme Development and Implementation:
- Plan and Implement project on a sustainable manner.
- Build and strengthen healthy coordination, collaboration and cooperation with government and other likeminded organizations with the means of meetings and other communication channels.
- Design and delivering various workshop, training as demanded by situation
- Project Staff and CLCs, PGLs, CMs performance enhancement.
- Documentations of district level happenings including best practices and challenges faced and report writing.
- Strengthen capacity of staff as a team and conduct periodical performance management
- Strengthen capacity of SMs, facilitators, and community people to support for the effective implementation of the project.
- Development, documentation and organization of information such as training evaluations and other documents including training plans, communication materials and other written materials as directed.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Monitor and supervision of the project and staffs.
- Make regular monitoring visits to project sites to monitor and support for quality delivery of project.
- Coordinate and support on Carry out internal midterm and annual monitoring and evolutional of the project.
- Generate, compile periodic regular/quarterly, six monthly and annual reports with qualitative and quantitative data and other relevant project progress information.
- Support and supervise on data and information management and documentation and reporting of project data, lessons learned and success stories for internal and external sharing.
- Ensure maintaining an effective information management system for the project as well as for the organization, which will allow for safe storage and easy retrieval of data.
Financial Management:
- Maintain record of Programme expenses in a standard format for settlement of advance and reimbursement
- Plan budget for impending activities and communicate with supervisor for accuracy and timely release
- Financial management, formulation budget and disbursement
- Plan monthly and quarterly budget and expense and expense and request and follow up for timely release
- Lead in providing regular periodic technical and financial reporting with supporting documents.
- Operations/Logistic.
Establish and promote better coordination and linkage with likeminded organization, selected schools, IVEs BC and VSO for effective delivery of the project
Assist Coordinator and, or subordinate staff in arranging venues for training and workshops with appropriate Physical facilities
Staff Management:
- Monitor and supervise subordinate staff’s work
- Provide regular mentoring support to the staff
- Lead on project staff’s capacity enhancement and staff performance management.
- Create a self-support system within school and cluster
Other Duties:
- Fulfill other appropriate level responsibilities as demand of the project.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Development studies/Humanities/Social Science or relevant field. At least 5 years of experience in development organization with sole responsibility of managing projects and program related to education.
- Strong participatory management and supervision skills including interpersonal, communication, training and facilitation skills.
- Work experience in the respective location would be an asset.
Languages: Strong command of Nepali, English (oral and written) and local language preferred/required.
