Job Description

The Personnel of Finance/ Accounts Lead is responsible to lead and execute the departmental responsibilities ensuring financial budgeting and reports are prepared and maintained in adequate manner.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the annual finance planning/budging process and prepare the annual operating budget.
    • Prepare profit/loss, balance sheet, cash flow financial statements, variance reports, ratio analysis on timely manner. Monitor interpret and present financial results in periodical basis and also prepare statutory financial report.
    • Coordinate and assist for annual external and Internal Audit with independent Chartered Accountant. To manage and undertake quarterly internal audits of the office and to take corrective action on recommendations.
    • Oversee payroll, payroll liabilities, and benefits including leave accrual and retirement plans in alliance with HR unit
    • Develop and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures.
    • Ensure timely collection and payment of bills/invoices and settlement of advances, liabilities, and receivables.
    • Monitoring efficient functioning and documentation for all financial systems including receipts, billing, bookkeeping, payables, receivables, budget and accounting, Tax and VAT.
    • Undertake the responsibility of timely tax clearance and CRO renewal.
    • Liaison with Nepal Rastra Bank for periodical reporting, and other necessary tasks as per need.
    • Manage, guide and lead subordinates to ensure appropriate financial processes are used.
    • To maintain effective control over Cash and Bank accounts to ensure that the office funds are well managed and that adequate funds are available to meet the organization’s responsibility and understand and communicate the variances from the forecast. Ensure payments and collections with overseas stakeholders for smooth business operations.
    • Work closely with key stakeholders to update the forecasts accurately and timely.
    • Maintain and prepare books of Accounts of Associate Companies with proper coordination with the Company Secretary. Dealing with local banks and overseas banks or central bank
    • Hold responsibility for the month-end close timetable and reporting process.
    • Partner extensively with key internal stakeholders to understand business performance and their impact on financial results.
    • Develop and implement KPI’s in the departmental and individual level for own team.
    • Develop and implement monthly reporting and analysis against KPIs.
    • Other tasks as assigned by the management
