Hami DajuVai is a feminist organization that engages men and boys in building a gender-just society. HDV aims to transform patriarchy into equality by integrating intersectionality ubiquitously through the engagement of men, boys, and young people, while promoting women’s leadership. The ultimate goal is to build a gender-just society. To foster an equal and prosperous society where all people enjoy their rights, opportunities, and live dignified lives, while addressing patriarchal masculinity and patriarchal structures through intersectional approaches.
HDV is anticipating a project which will be focused on women’s security and justice where our role will be to work as a technical partner on the issue of Men’s engagement and transforming patriarchal Masculinity to end violence against women and girls. The project expects the transformation on patriarchal masculinity and harmful social norms and behaviours from family to community. Role of HDV is to work as a technical lead on Men and boys’ engagement and addressing harmful masculinity including on social norms and contribute on diffusion of its learning and impacts. Hence HDV is looking for the candidates for following positions.
Communication and Documentation Officer

Introduction to the Role
The Communication and Documentation Officer will play a crucial role in documenting organizational activities, preparing project quality reports, managing communication channels, preparing monitoring tools and supporting the organization. Person will work closely with the project manager to document the progress and impact, prepare concept notes and proposals and share impact stories with concerned authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for preparing and publishing organizational publications, books, magazines, reports etc
- Prepare and Design various communication materials/IEC Materials/Knowledge production materials (reports, success stories, infographs, posters, brochures, leaflets, pamphlets)
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote the organization’s work and impact.
- Generate content for reports, newsletters, and social media platforms.
- Update and maintain the organization’s website with current and relevant information.
- Manage and update HDV’s social media profiles, engage with the online community, and create content to increase our online presence.
- Translate success stories and other contents from Nepali to English and vice versa.
- Record and maintain database of projects, major achievements, and other activities carried out by HDV
- Support programme staff in organizing and managing seminars, workshops, training, conferences, competitions etc. and prepare background notes, press releases, programme related progress reports and documents
- Lead and manage the Men and Masculinities Resource Centre
- Ensure mainstreaming of GEDSI in project implementation
- Ensures that internal databases and monitoring information are kept fully up-to-date.
- Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Experience Required:
- Bachelor degree completed in Mass-communication, journalism, media studies, Sociology, Social Science or in any other relevant fields with at least 3 years of professional experience. Preference will be given to those who has prior experience in working with Feminist or Gender Justice organization
- Sound knowledge and skills of handling MS word, MS Excel, MS Power-point, Internet, email, social media with excellent typing skill with strong writing, editing and proof-reading expertise.
- Prior knowledge of Men and Masculinities, Feminism, SBCC, Social Norms is preferred.
- Skills of writing web content, news, reports, articles and documentation of good practices and achievements.
- Knowledge of Graphics, Sound and Visual Editing (preferred).
- Good Interpersonal and Communication Skills.
- Proven knowledge on web and media accessibility (preferred).
- Someone who has written and published number(s) of articles/contents both in English and Nepali medium (which may include but not limited to Reports, Proposals, News articles, Web contents, Video Scripts etc) in variety of mediums like Web, Newspaper, Magazines etc. (preferred)
Other skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali.
- Good understanding of the SBCC and social norms dynamics around gender and masculinity in cultural and social context is essential. An understanding of the international context would be advantageous.
- Excellent leadership, management and written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work with a diverse range of actors from different cultural contexts in the country.
- Strong project management skills.
- Willingness to travel to the field stations.
- Person should have a 2-wheeler license.
Duration: three-month probation period, contract will be till March 2025 with possible extension based on performance.
