Association of Medical Doctors of Asia-Nepal (AMDA-Nepal) was established in 1989 and was officially registered in the government office as an NGO in 1990. It is a humanitarian, nonprofit-making, non-political, non-sectarian, social organization working with its mission to promote the health and well-being of the underprivileged and marginalized people under the slogan “Better quality of life for better future”. AMDA Nepal is providing curative and preventive health services through its hospitals and projects in different parts of Nepal. AMDA Nepal also established academic health programs focusing to produce middle-level health professionals, offering various diploma level programs. This initiative reflects a commitment to evolving healthcare education and preparing skilled professionals for the future.
The anticipated USAID Sustainable HIV Epidemic Control Project will deliver relevant and efficient direct service delivery that is effective in surging, scaling, and sustaining HIV services and systems for long-term epidemic control with focus on filling existing HIV prevention, case finding, and treatment gaps, on building long-term sustainability to attain and maintain epidemic control.
This project will be implementing HIV prevention, treatment, care, and support services primarily among the female sex workers and their clients, male sex workers and their clients, men having sex with men, transgender people and people living with HIV and their partners and children in four districts of Koshi Province, namely Ilam, Jhapa, Morang and Sunsari, in close coordination with other partners/sub-partners, National networks of KPs/PLHIV and Community Based Organizations (CBOs).
AMDA-Nepal invites applications for the following positions from qualified Nepalese citizen on/before 18 September 2024 (2081 Ashoj 02) for the anticipated “USAID Sustainable HIV Epidemic Control Project” expected to commence on October 1, 2024 in Koshi province. The anticipated project period is 2 years, to be funded by USAID Nepal.

Admin/Finance Officer
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist for preparing budget and work plan of field office in line to achieve its target.
2. Prepare and maintain all accounting transactions and safeguard records in the accounting system undertaken.
3. Procurement of goods and services as per plan with complying the rules and regulation.
4. Effective management of inventory and safeguards of goods/property.
5. Effective management of human resource related activities of the field office with meeting the standards and compliance.
6. Prepare the periodic (Monthly, quarterly & annually) financial reports including other administrative reports & dispatch with required supporting documents to the concern office.
7. Assist Project Director in various administrative activities as needed.
Duty Station: Itahari, Sunsari.
Minimum Qualification:
- Minimum bachelor degree passed with recognized Institute with having minimum 5 year experience in PEPFAR supported HIV/AIDS, STI prevention program in relevant position.
Preferences:
- Sound knowledge of basic computer applications with skills of operating accounting and inventory software
- Flexibility of working in off-hours (beyond standard office time) as needed.
