Office Assistant ,Non Financial Transactions

Job Summary

  • To process Liability and asset related Service Requests of WRB S&T- Amendments – KYC update – Dormant/Unclaimed reactivation – Account updates – Signature update ,confirmation letter issuance etc
  • To process Debit card and cheque books Issuance and Credit Card Delivery handling
  • Physical stock management of deliverables – Debit card, cheque book and Credit card .
  • To ensure that the established service standards are met.
  • Handle complicated internal and external customer inquiries / complaints independently, confidently.
  • To maintain all required controls and procedures.
  • Daily and monthly reporting

Responsibilities

Processing Standards

  • Ensure that processing capabilities are geared up to achieve accuracy as per the service level standards and strive to exceed the standards focusing on superior service.

Operational efficiency

  • Ensure that the personnel of the unit are adhering to the procedures set in the operating manuals in order to achieve optimum efficiency in the conduct of their jobs. Handle exceptions from the norms and initiate corrective and preventive actions

Inhouse Service Standards

  • Ensure that all queries related to routine activities are responded to within the time frames pre specified.

Escalation

  • Keep Supervisors and Manager S&T Non Financial Transactions ,Recon & MIS -Assets advised of the exceptional occurrences, to enable appropriate action.

Compliance

  • Ensure that all laid down procedures, central bank regulation and key control standards are adequately followed.

Reporting

  • Keep respective Supervisor and Head S&T Non Financial Transactions ,Recon & MIS advised of the regular operations of the unit.

CDD and Anti Money Laundering

  • Ensure timely understanding and compliance with all the applicable regulations of the bank, group and country including money laundering prevention and CDD.

Out serve.

  • Embed a customer service culture through the departments out serve initiatives and participation in countries out serve initiatives.

Adhoc responsibilities

  • Carry out any special tasks or projects that may be required from time to time as assigned by Checkers of S&T Non Financial Transactions ,Recon & MIS, procedure manual including Credit Operating manual and following all the necessary regulations and guidelines.

  • Responsible for the health and safety aspects within your area of control.
  • Ensure that team members are adequately trained and supervised to perform their tasks in a safe manner.
  • Ensure that team members are free to rise, and health and safety issues and these issues are addressed appropriately.
  • Ensure that the contractors working in own area or working for the teamwork in a safe & healthy manner.
  • Take reasonable care for the health and safety of co-workers and those who may be affected by own actions or omissions.
  • Cooperates with management to support and promote health and safety in the workplace.
  • Ensure that own actions do not put others at risk.

  • Bring to the attention of the management any hazard in the workplace.

Qualification, Knowledge, and Skills

  • Academic or Professional Education/Qualifications: As per Bank’s requirements and HR policy
  • Strong communication skills

Experience & Skills:

  • Clear knowledge of internal operating procedures of RB S&T Unit.
  • Very Good knowledge of eBBS, Sigcap , Cards 400, RLS and other surround systems being used by the unit.
  • Very good knowledge of Group’s Anti Money Laundering Policy of the Bank.
  • Good team players with good communication, interpersonal skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Very good knowledge of Central Bank regulations.
  • Able to work under pressure, tight deadlines, and stressful environment.
  • Ability to work with nil or bare minimum supervision.
  • Well organized, able to multi-task and balance competing demands.
