Provides expert services in Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Change Adaptation, Livelihood Support, Peace Building, Women’s Health, SRHR, Social Mobilization, Infrastructure Building, Governance, Entrepreneurship Development, and Gender Inclusion. Supported by partnership like Adaption Fund/United National world food program, Plan International Nepal, Caritas Germany/Nepal Australian Embassy Nepal, Amplify Change/Radha Poudel foundation, PACE-Nepal collaborates with NGOs and networks nationally and internationally to maximize impact. PACE Nepal start from Jumla district and at present working in 4 district of Karnali province.

Project Coordinator

No. of Vacancy: 1

Job Description:

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent
  • Experience of minimum of 5 years for Program Coordinator in similar position of educational projects
  • Strong leadership, effective communication and time management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Ability to work in difficult geographical topography and socio-cultural community in Karnali
  • Experience working with INGO(s), government officials and integrating them into program implementation.
  • Competence riding a motorbike preferred

Specification:

  • Develop an annual project plan, implementation methodology, and monitor the project activities to ensure that they are being implemented
  • Build sound relationships and coordinate with government education bodies in district and local level and other stakeholders in order to implement the activities to achieve organizational objectives
  • Develop appropriate proposals and prepare regular progress reports, presentation of the completion programs
  • Lead the overall project management
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director
  • Mobilization of the target communities and local organization for participation in assessment, planning, implementation and monitoring of project interventions

Finance Officer

Job Description:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Financial Management, or relevant field with At least 2 years of work experience in the area of accounting or intermediate level financial management
  • Knowledge of Bookkeeping
  • Proficiency in computer and use of office applications
  • Knowledge of income tax Act and VAT – relating to TDS and remuneration tax, tax return file
  • Good Communication skills. Analytical and problem solving

Specification:

  • Financial management accounts including documentation
  • Prepare the monthly basis financial report with Trial Balance, FAS, Budget Vs Expenditure, Bank Reconciliation, cover letter
  • Analyzing organization’s financial data and providing reports to director and donor level
  • Keep accurate records for all daily transactions and keep document save
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
  • Responsible for entering financial information and maintaining all financial records for projects and for the organization

Civil Engineer

Job Description:

  • First University/Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
  • Has a minimum of four years working in the rural infrastructure development sector (government, development partners, I/NGOs, private sector etc)
  • Has conducted engineering feasibility study, design, drawing, estimate and supervision, quality assurance and quantity measurement of rural infrastructures (roads, trails, bridges, irrigation, building, drinking water supply etc)
  • Has knowledge of engineering specializations in relation to seismic mitigation, rural infrastructure, effects of monsoons, or environmental requirements,
  • Excellent communicator in English and Nepali – both oral and written
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite-inclusive of MS Project, and MS PowerPoint and AutoCAD
  • Should have a valid driving license.

Specification:

  • Feasibility study, design, drawing, estimate, construction supervision, quality assurance, progress measurement in line with engineering standards and norms for rural infrastructures,
  • Introduce evolving construction and engineering technologies, to facilitate implementation of innovative engineering solutions.

  • Take lead on the implementation of Partners Policies, standards, norms and practices related to engineering field ensuring compliance with wider Partnership

Forest Officer

  • Bachelors in Forestry, Climate change and Development, Environmental Science, Natural Resources with 3 years of working experience in related field, or
  • Master Degree in Forestry or related field with 2 years of working experiences in related field

Specification:

  • Provide technical advice for ensuring effective implementation of strategies for climate change adaptation, and alignment with activities and policies on climate change in general
  • Prepare assigned district level trimester performance reports indicating the achievement of work plan targets and corresponding expenditures, as well as knowledge products

Agriculture Officer

  • Support/lead PACE- Nepal Agriculture component for effective planning and implementing field program in the district

Enterprise Development Officer

Specification:

  • Take lead for planning, implementation and monitoring of Training/ Enterprise business development components of the project.
  • To develop and implement training and enterprise development strategies, provide technical backstopping and capacity building support to local enterprise
  • To innovate develop and implement activities of enterprise development program

Monitoring, Evaluation and Documentation Officer (MEDO)

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business Administration, Economics or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in the design and implementation of M&E/MIS in development projects implemented by national/international NGOs/UN bodies/ Government

Construction Supervisor

Job Description:

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 3 years’ construction industry Experience supervising building works in remote areas lacking motorable road access
    Experience in working consultatively and collaboratively with local stakeholders, such as community-based organizations, local government authorities, district authorities
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • A good level of fitness at altitude, where the primary mode of travel will be trekking on foot over mountainous terrain

Specification:

  • Carry out a detailed technical survey of water supply and sanitation systems and ensure construction quality.
  • Prepare design, Cost estimation of water supply projects, school latrines, sanitation components, and rehabilitation/maintenance of water and sanitation structures; also prepare detailed supporting documents for maintenance and rehabilitation of specific water and sanitation structures.
  • Check/monitor design and cost estimation prepared by them.
  • Prepare annual sectional budget, cash flows and output plans of projects, annual sectional plan, and material requisition of construction materials; send for certification and approval with relevant supporting electronic copies and support to prepare annual procurement plan as per donor requirement.
  • Inspect the construction material as per the brand and specifications specified in the material requisition.
  • Take initiation for the management of non-local materials delivery and ensure with field staffs on materials received or not in projects as per the material requisition and cost estimation.
  • Approve the work plan of the Project Supervisor and maintain documentation.
  • Ensure the water quality, recommend treatment in systems, and reporting to line manager and technical department at Head office
  • Help and manage the construction works, oversee and provide feedback, and technical advice on water schemes and sanitation work of new construction and rehabilitation activities.

Project Supervisor

Job Description:

  • Bachelor’s level in relevant subject from recognized university
  • More than 2 years of work experience. Intermediate level in 5 years of work experience
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent in both written and spoken Nepali with general English
  • Multicultural sensitivity and good adjustment quality
  • Knowledge of community multiple languages will be an added advantage
  • Able to work in remote area and indigenous community

Specification:

  • Arrange a general meeting of all beneficiaries ensuring representation of all sex, caste, religion and marginalized population within the scheme cluster to communicate about the contract provisions and working procedures/process
  • Project Supervisor with assistance of community shall prepare of a clear and understandable participatory map
  • Support community while mobilizing and organizing groups at the same time inform roles and responsibilities of groups
  • Facilitate community in the implementation of the Action Plan including its monitoring and implementation
  • The Project Supervisor shall facilitate to the groups formed under the project for their income generation and livelihood activities
  • The Project Supervisor shall facilitate the monitoring visit to be carried out by the PACE- NEPAL staff and other persons in the project and scheme sites by communicating, organizing and mobilizing the community
  • The Project Supervisor shall always counsel the community to comply with all requirements as mentioned in the contract management

Volunteers

Job Description:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in administration, business studies, management or relevant field Required experience: 4 years of experience in Volunteer Management, administration, partnerships development.

Specification:

  • Staff, coordinate and oversee the volunteers needed for special events in consideration of the PACE-Nepal Leadership Team’s vision for engagement as communicated by the Director
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with corporate partners, educational/service/health and civic organizations
  • Identify and participate in opportunities to promote volunteerism
  • Execute reporting and evaluation tasks by effectively tracking volunteer hours, program outputs and outcomes, strengths and needs, program budgets, and impact stories
  • Develop funding and support necessary for a successful volunteer program
  • Submit expenses related to the Volunteer Program to the Communications and Outreach Director monthly
  • Collect data and assist with reporting as required by grant and funding agreements
