Job Description

With funding support from The Karuna Trust UK, Future Generation Nepal (FGN) is set to implement the “Child Protection and Trafficking Prevention Project” within the Kalika Municipality of Chitwan District.

As the Project Officer, your role will be pivotal in the implementation of the project with the following key responsibilities:

  • Leading the implementation of the “Child Protection and Trafficking Prevention Project” in collaboration with Kalika Municipality and FGN’s team.
  • Overseeing the street drama team and organizing awareness events against child trafficking while promoting child rights in the project area.
  • Collaborating with various local entities, including authorities, child clubs, community members, educators, and social activists, to advocate for children’s rights and family-based care.
  • Conducting training sessions, orientations, and interactive events to strengthen the local child protection system.
  • Monitoring reintegrated children and working closely with authorities to rescue children from abusive situations.
  • Supporting municipal and ward governments in building the capacity of duty bearers and local CRC members, and assisting in forming these committees.
  • Coordinating with local government authorities while carrying out project activities.
  • Regularly updating and reporting project activities, progress, and results to the Line Manager. Performing other relevant duties essential for the project’s success.
