Summary:
The U.S. Mission in Kathmandu, Nepal is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) Advisor. This position is open to all interested applicants.
The work schedule for this position is Full Time (40 hours per week).
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties
The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA) Advisor serves as a primary advisor to the U.S. Mission wide DEIA initiatives. The incumbent coordinates all DEIA related activities in collaboration with the DEIA Council. The incumbent serves as Co-Chair of the DEIA Council and helps lead the Mission’s DEIA initiatives along with other council members. The incumbent develops, executes, and reports on DEIA action plans. The incumbent prepares action plans to advance DEIA within the U.S. Mission workforce and the Mission’s programs and activities. The incumbent writes project proposals for DEIA initiatives . The incumbent develops and maintains contacts both internally and externally. The incumbent works under the supervision of Management Officer and works closely with DEIA Council leadership.
Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Three years of experience in the field of Gender, Diversity or Social inclusion, Program Management, Communication, Marketing, Human Resources Management or Organizational Development is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge and understanding of Nepal’s social, economic, political, and geographical conditions is required. Knowledge of Nepali culture and social practices is required.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Sociology/anthropology, Management, Law, Development Studies, or Gender Studies is required.

LANGUAGE: Level IV (Fluent) speaking/reading/writing English is required. Level IV (Fluent) speaking/reading/writing Nepali is required.
