Community Family Welfare Association (CFWA), Dhanusha/Mahottari

Community Family Welfare Association (CFWA) was established in 1996 AD (BS 2053) in Nagarayan Municipality ward no 7, Deodiha, Dhanusha district Nepal. Initially, it was established as a community based organization (CBO) with technical and managerial support of family planning Association of Nepal under its long-term sustainable plan to continue family planning services at the community level. Later on, it was registered at the District administrative office as non-government and non- profit making organization in 27 June 1997 (13 Ashar 2053 BS) in Dhanusha district. Now CFWA has two field offices in Mahottari and Dhanusha districts working in Education, Health, Child Poverty, Child Protection, Gender and Social Inclusion and Social Protection. CFWA is a leading organization of the state number 2 and it has aimed to be well known civil society organization in the Nepal.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS:

Position: Field Officer – 2 (Health- 1, Education- 1)

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the BPH, BSc Nursing, HA for health and bachelor’s degree in Education or any relevant field for education.
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in relevant sector.
  • Able to organize and facilitate relevant training/ orientation of relevant sector.
  • Able to develop annual plan, execute, monitor and evaluate.
  • Having minimum 2 years’ experience in community mobilization is preferred.
  • Able to prepare report in both English and Nepali languages.
  • Aware and familiar with local language.
  • Computer knowledge (word, excel, power point,) and strong in email internet.
  • Willing to spend 70% time in field work and having willing to work with children.
  • Having valid driving license along with personal bike.
  • Able to coordinate with local and district level government structures for effective implementation of planned activities.
  • Interested to stay at field i.e. Gaushala or Aurahi palika of Mahottari.
  • Can adjust in team and play the role of supportive.

Program Supervisor- 1 (ECCD and Basic Education)

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or any relevant field.
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in ECCD and Basic Education.
  • Computer knowledge (word, excel, PowerPoint,) and strong in email internet.
  • Willing to spend 80% time in fieldwork and having willing to work with children.
  • Ability to organize and facilitate the meeting, workshop, and support to develop learning materials and their use.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skill to monitor ECCD Classroom and schools.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and support ECCD facilitators and teachers to improve education quality.
  • Having a valid driving license along with a personal bike.

Program Supervisor- 1 (Child Protection and Community Mobilization)

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human rights/child laws or any relevant field.
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in Child Protection and Community Mobilization.
  • Computer knowledge (word, excel, PowerPoint,) and strong in email internet.
  • Willing to spend 80% time in fieldwork and having willing to work with children, child clubs, and Ward Child Right Committee (WCRC).
  • Ability to organize and facilitate the meeting, workshop, and support to manage child protection cases, strengthen child clubs and WCRC, and support to reduce child marriage in Mahottari.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skill to monitor child protection cases, child clubs, and WCRC and facilitate the regular meeting of CC and WCRC to meet the QBM.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and support child clubs and M/WCRC members to identify special protection needs children, link them with child protection fund at Palika and child endowment fund at cooperative and WCRC.
  • Having a valid driving license along with a personal bike.

Position: Assistant Sponsorship Program Officer- 1

Preferred Qualifications & experience:

  • Bachelor with 2 years of experience in community mobilization activities
  • Able to work in diverse culture environment.
  • Interested in photography, data collection and work with children community people as well.
  • Support to Sponsorship Program Officer in quality check as per compliance, supervise and backstop to Sponsorship Program Assistant.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent time management, problem-prevention, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge on Computer MS Office.
  • Able to speak local (Maithili) language and having other languages i.e. Nepali, English is preferred.
  • Having valid driving license and own two wheeler.

Position: Sponsorship Program Assistant- 1

Preferred Qualifications & experience:

  • Intermediate with 2 years of experience in community mobilization activities
  • Able to work in diverse culture environment.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent time management, problem-prevention, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge on Computer MS Office.
  • Able to speak local (Maithili) language and having other languages i.e. Nepali, English is preferred.
  • Having valid driving license and own two wheeler.

Position: Community Mobilizer – 4 (for Bardibas, Gaushala and Aurahi palika)

Preferred Qualifications & experience:

  • Minimum of 10+2 level or equivalent in any academic stream (HA, JTA, CMA, or candidates from technical background are highly encouraged to apply).
  • Working experience in Education, Health, Child Protection or Livelihood/ Agriculture/ Veterinary in rural context.
    Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to spend 80% time in field work and having willing to work with children.
  • Good communication skills both in Maithili and Nepali
  • Ability and willingness to work in team and to work under pressure and in remote/difficult circumstances.
  • Mobilize and facilitate the engagements of stakeholders during planning implementation of activities.
  • Facilitate and monitor the implementation of planned activities and community level engagement.
  • Willing to work with various communities and cast groups.
  • Committed to rights based and gender & child sensitive work
  • Able, willing and committed to work with group of people of different backgrounds.
  • Having valid driving license.

Other Attributes for all positions: Excellent quality of work and commitment to high standards, strong communication skills, team building and willingness and motivated for good service delivery with strong networking and interpersonal skills and comfortable to work under stress and emergencies.
