SOS Children’s Villages Nepal as a non-governmental social development organisation support children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief. We are now looking for interested and qualified individuals for the various positions at National Office and various programme locations.

Job Positions:

HR&OD Assistant (1) in contract basis: National Office, SOS Children’s Villages Nepal, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur

The HR&OD Assistant will be responsible for assisting in HR related administrative tasks. S/he has to prepare reports, assist with data entry, file upload, maintain databases by entering new and updated employee information. S/he develops raw data into usable information to be included into databases and reports, prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Management with one year of relevant work experience. Candidates having experience in HRIS software will be an added advantage.


Accountant (1) in contract basis: National Office, SOS Children’s Villages Nepal, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial discipline with proper accounting system. S/he has to prepare financial reports, presentations, and manages day-to-day financial transactions and financial correspondence, realistic analysis of annual budget forecasts, including controlling and monitoring of budget.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Management with one year of relevant work experience. Knowledge of government regulations in relation to procurement and accounting system of Nepal is preferred. Candidates having experience in Microsoft Dynamic 365 ERP will be an added advantage. (Preference will be given to candidates having two – wheeler license).


Accountant (1): SOS Children’s Village Lumbini

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial discipline with proper accounting system. S/he has to prepare financial reports, presentations, and manages day-to-day financial transactions and financial correspondence, realistic analysis of annual budget forecasts, including controlling and monitoring of budget.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:


Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Management with one year of relevant work experience. Knowledge of government regulations in relation to procurement and accounting system of Nepal will be an added advantage. (Preference will be given to candidates having two – wheeler license).


Counselor (1): SOS Youth Care Dhangadhi

The Counselor will be responsible for supporting in the social, moral, emotional and intellectual development of children and young people and guiding them by assessing the special educational requirements of an individual child and youth. S/he should have good understanding of professional counseling approaches and strong skills on organizing and facilitating training/workshops. S/he should manage documents, maintain the database, and prepare the activity for children and young people, and reporting the events.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Psychological Counseling and three years’ relevant work experience or, Master’s Degree in Psychology or Master’s Degree in any discipline with one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Psychological Counseling and one-year relevant work experience. (Preference will be given to candidates having two – wheeler license).


Project Coordinator (1) in contract basis: Breaking the Barriers of Digital Divide Project, Kavre

The Project Coordinator is responsible for implementation of project with various tasks including preparation of comprehensive action plans, budget management, tracking of activity implementation status, regular technical support and guidance to partner schools, project monitoring, progress reporting and relationship building/ coordination with local government bodies and stakeholders. S/he will provide technical assistance for capacity building of partner schools and implementation of online classes in schools. S/he will directly work with partner schools to conduct training of teachers, follow up of trainings, facilitate periodic meetings, develop resource materials for online classes, etc.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology with three years of experience or Master’s Degree in any discipline with at least one year of experience in development sector (preferably in education sector). S/he should have sound knowledge in Information Communication Technology and Project Management skill. Preference will be given to the candidate having experience in ICT based education/distance learning.


Field Officer (1) in contract basis: Breaking the Barriers of Digital Divide Project, Kavre

The Field Officer will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective implementation of activities of “Breaking the Barriers of Digital Divide” project in community schools of Kavre district. S/he will support the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of project activities at the field level, ensuring quality and timely implementation of project activities as per the detailed activity plan. S/he will support the Project Coordinator on capacity building of teachers, tracking of project activities, monitoring of project implementation, community awareness on online classes, coordination with local government bodies and stakeholders, etc. S/he will directly work with partner schools in their engagement in project activities.

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology with three years of experience in development sector (preferably in education sector). S/he should have sound knowledge in Information Communication Technology and project management skill. Preference will be given to the candidate having experience and skill in social mobilization.

 

For all the above-mentioned positions, candidates must be below 35 years of age, must be a Nepali citizen, should have good command in English and Nepali languages (both written and speaking). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Package, email and internet is a must. Experience of working with children and young people will be an added advantage. Candidates are expected to have excellent interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
