Summary: The U.S. Mission in Kathmandu is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Cashier. This vacancy is open to all interested applicants.

The work schedule for this position is Full Time (40 hours per week).

Duties

The incumbent serves as the Principal Class B Cashier in the Financial Management Office (FMO) of the U.S. Mission, Kathmandu. The incumbent provides a full range of cashiering and cash management services. The incumbent is responsible for payment processing, collection, accommodation exchange, and reconciling financial transactions. The incumbent reports directly to the Financial Management Officer.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements: EXPERIENCE: Two years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, cashiering, auditing, or vouchering is required.

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management is required
Evaluations: These may be tested (Language, Skills and Abilities).

LANGUAGE: Fluent Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required. Fluent Speaking/Reading/Writing Nepali is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must be able to enter data for cashier transactions accurately. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
