Role
Profile
ZSL
Nepal programme is a highly diverse programme with projects spanning integrated
landscape management as well as species conservation (namely tiger, rhino, and
EDGE species), protected area management, sustainable community development and
building in country conservation capacity. This rapidly expanding programme is
seeking an Operations Officer with extensive and relevant management and
conservation experience to assist the Country/Deputy Country Representative in
leading the delivery and development of this exciting programme.
Main
Duties and Responsibilities
The
Operations Officer will be responsible for supporting the implementation of a
suite of projects, working closely with senior management to streamline current
operations and ensure continuity of delivery of high-quality outputs with
significant conservation impacts.
The
Operations Officer will be responsible for implementing and reporting the
progress of ZSL projects to provide a basis for evidence-based decision making.
They will lead in fulfilling government compliances as part of MoUs and other
agreements within the country and donor compliances as part of project
agreements on time.
he
post holder should also be adept at day-to-day office administration tasks.
Person
Specification
·
The
post holder should have at least a master’s degree in forestry science or
similar field and have a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
·
Candidate
should have proven skills in developing implementing and reporting project
activities and stakeholder’s engagement in ZSL supported conservation projects
where necessary.
·
Candidate
should have proven skills in coordination among government agencies
particularly with DNPWC and site level protected areas, provincial ministries,
district level agencies and local government and line agencies for implementing
ZSL supported project activities.
·
This
post is based in our Kohalpur, west Nepal with regular trips to our field
projects to provide technical/admin advice and support.
