Position: Program Coordinator

Under the direct supervision of the Sr. Program Manager – Global Fund of NCASC and in close coordination with Focal Person at NCASC, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for program planning, implementation and monitoring of HIV prevention, treatment, care and support related activities of National HIV program.
Key Areas of Accountability:
- Assist the NCASC program team in planning, implementation and monitoring of Prevention, Treatment, Care and Support related activities including OST, PMTCT, ART and TB/HIV of National HIV program.
- Work with NCASC program team and other implementing/technical partners in developing and updating national guidelines, standard operating procedures, training curriculum and technical materials for supervision and monitoring.
- Provide Technical Assistance in development/revision of treatment related national guidelines, curriculum, protocols etc.
- Work closely with Provincial Sr. Program Coordinators for planning, implementation, monitoring and timely reporting from all Service Delivery Points.
- Participate in regular field visits as deemed necessary to support technical monitoring and troubleshooting in order to facilitate quality treatment, care and support services.
- Liaise and maintain regular good working relations with concerned technical units/departments of Ministry of Health and Population (NPHL, NTCC, FWD), other governmental institutions (MoHA) and technical partners (FHI360, AHF-Nepal, WHO, UN Agency) with a view to facilitate the HIV prevention, treatment, care and support activities.
- Participate in all relevant HIV Technical Working Group, technical forums/discussions and provide technical inputs as per the need.
- Ensure all Global Fund supported activities are completed within deadlines.
- Plan, organize and facilitate HIV treatment, care and support related trainings Like CMT, OST, STI, PMTCT and other trainings.
- Ensure all PMTCT, ART, OST and TB/HIV sites submit routine reports to NCASC using standard reporting templates.
- Review all periodic programmatic reports submitted by relevant SDPs and provide feedbacks if required before consolidating to prepare single program report to be submitted to the Save the Children to prepare PUDR.
- Support PSM team in quantification of medicines and health products.
- Liaise and coordinate with NPHL and other laboratories for smooth functioning of CD4, Viral Load testing and analysis of test reports.
- Work closely with other Program Team members to complete the Global Fund activities within deadlines.
- Support/supervise Technical Staff (ART Counselors, staff nurse and Medical Officers) at SDPs and ensure quality service delivery following National Guidelines.
- Any other duties or assignments as requested by the Sr. Program Manager – Global Fund, relevant Program Focal Person and Director of NCASC.
Qualifications and experience
- Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) or equivalent in related field
- Minimum of 3 years of working experience (2 years for GSI group*) in Public Health program
- 1 year in HIV program management at national level (Preferable)
*GSI group include Female, Dalit, Madhesi, People with Disabilities and other indigenous/minorities.
