Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator

In the direct supervision and support from Sr. Program/Technical Coordinator, the M &E Coordinator requires to overseeing all the M & E related tasks for all the 3 diseases (HIV, TB and Malaria) program under the Global Fund Project. M&E Coordinator will also provide technical support to SRs, provinces, municipalities and SDPs on all the M&E related intervention, concern and issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead in reviewing progress and preparing consolidated progress report of all the 3 disease components
  • Lead in preparing monitoring tools, reporting guidelines and data keeping, data collecting and reporting tools for SRs with technical support from M&E country team and entity-based M&E team
  • Lead in organizing and carrying out capacity building activities including coaching and mentoring for M&E staff and program team of SRs and municipality
  • Ensure that the SDPs timely complete and submits the monthly progress data in the HMIS
  • Lead in preparing provincial specific and disease specific M&E plan, work plan, and performance framework
  • Support the SCI provincial team to ensure complete and timely submission of the progress report from the SDPs
  • Support and work closely with the provincial MEAL team to ensure that the requested data/ information is provide timely
  • Work closely with SCI provincial team and Government provincial focal persons in overall management of online data base system for reporting and recording
  • Work with provincial team in identifying capacity building needs of SRs and government and identify M&E system gaps.
  • Work with technical and program team for developing/ reviewing work plans, performance framework, M&E matrix and data collection tools.
  • Ensure HMIS/other reporting mechanisms are in place and functioning at all the reporting units across the nation.
  • Work with Coordinators/ Managers for ensuring that information gathered are used for making programmatic decisions at all levels.
  • Regular field visit to provide technical assistance and ensuring the reliability and quality of data.
  • Assist consultants for research, survey, and evaluation as necessary and participate in review, research and evaluations.
  • Assist provincial SCI team and local government in reviewing program progress on quarterly basis. Ensure that all indicators are achieved as per the plan
  • Extract, review and compile monthly / quarterly/ semi-annually and annual reports from the field and ensure quality reports are submitted to GF on timely manner as required.
  •  Work as an active member for strengthening overall M&E system of the agency.
  • Supporting Save the Children dual mandate of development programs as well as being the leader in Emergency preparedness and response for children

Qualifications and experience

  •  Master’s degree in Public Health or equivalent in related field
    Minimum of 3 years (2 years for GSI group*) of working experiences Public Health program including experience in M&E and/or Management Information Systems (preferable)

*GSI group include Female, Dalit, Madhesi, People with Disabilities and other indigenous/minorities.
