Swiss Agency for Development and
Cooperation (SDC) is providing Technical Assistance (TA) to the Government of
Nepal (GoN) for the implementation of the Motorable Local Roads
Programme, Phase-IV in all 7 Provinces.
CIAS-MEH JV, on behalf of SDC, provides TA
through the Local Roads Bridge Support Unit (LRBSU), invites applications from
interested and qualified Nepali nationals for the following positions of the
LRBSU.
Position:
GIS And Mapping Support Officer
Number of Vacancies: 1
Term and Location: Fixed term till December 2024,
based in Kathmandu (frequent field visits)
Job Description
Responsible to produce maps and documents required
related with provincial road networks and bridges on them, ensuring proper
management of information systems including programme web-site, online filing
systems, and overall IT related tasks, both hardware and software
Key Qualification Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of
experience, Master’s degree with 5 years of experience primarily in GIS,
Mapping and Management Information System (MIS)

Support in data entry, verification,

Job Description
Overall Coordination with the concerned
entities of the provincial Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development
(MoPID) for bridge planning and selection on provincial road network, manage a
team of engineers and technical officers in the field of bridge design,
construction supervision and contract management

BE in civil engineering with 10 year’s
experience or Master’s degree with 5 years experience in various aspects of
bridge engineering design and construction management

Prepare vouchers, financial reports,
maintain project’s accounts up to date and accurate in a transparent manner in
compliance with LRBSU rules and regulations, conduct petty cash management,
timely VAT refund claim, review and payment bills of suppliers, support in
internal control financial management

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies or in
a relevant subject in Finance, with minimum 5 years’ experience or Master’s
Degree with minimum of 3 years experience
