As the largest child-focused organization in the Nepal, we cover a wide geographical area with multiple programs that support our vision for all children to attain the right to survival, protection, development and participation.

1. TITLE: Senior Program Coordinator – Child Protection and CRG
TEAM/PROGRAMME: Program Operations Department (POD)

LOCATION: EFO-Bardibas

GRADE: 3+

CONTRACT LENGTH: TBD

CHILD SAFEGUARDING:

Level 3: The post holder will have contact with children and/ or young people either frequently (e.g.  once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the policy checking/ vetting process staff.

ROLE PURPOSE:  
The Senior Program Coordinator –Child protection (CP) and Child rights Government (CRG) is responsible for thematic assistance to the program running under EFO. As Child protection and child participation is key cross cutting area for sponsorship program, he/she will be technically assisting to all the core and non-core program activities related to Child protection and Child rights governance (CRG) of sponsorships and other projects.
He/she will also act as a focal person for Adolescent development program in sponsorships, may not entirely helping technically on AD, but ensure that AD is getting technical support from relevant department at field office; by coordinating with technical people (ARSH and Livelihoods), monitoring AD program and partners, including AD reporting would be part of this position.

High quality child-focused programs, reaching the most vulnerable and deprived children in close coordination and collaboration with other theme under sponsorship funded program and other projects will be key responsibility of this position holder.

S/He will provide technical backstop support to child rights related department in province no. 2 and 1 including municipalities in preparation, implementation and monitoring of child rights activities planned by them. S/He will work in collaboration with local and provincial government in terms of technical aspects. This position holder will also work closely with the partner organizations, other INGOs and UN for effective and timely implementation of planned activities. In addition, S/He will also manage Child rights related projects in the Eastern Field Office close coordination with the CP-CRG advisor in country office.

S/He provide technical and programmatic support to district-based sponsorship and other projects team/ staff for the timely implementation of program, monitoring and reporting of the project activities and ensure the quality.  S/He represent child rights & Governance and child protection theme of save the children at province / Municipal level in different forums, meetings and consultations on policy and technical issues.

In addition, s/ he ensure the regular monitoring of key process indicators, alignment with refinement of the package, related training content, and support to behaviour change communications, coordinate with relevant stakeholders for sharing of lessons learnt for consistent uptake by other stakeholders. Furthermore, s/he work in close coordination with sub-theme under child rights & Governance and child protection portfolio and other thematic areas of save the children.


2. Title : Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator – HIV & AIDS
TEAM/PROGRAMME: Global Fund  

LOCATION:  National Centre for AIDS and STD Control (NCASC), Kathmandu

GRADE: 3+

Level 3 - the responsibilities of the post may require the post holder to have regular contact with or access to children or young people

ROLE PURPOSE:

Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator will perform tasks in the direct supervision and support from the SI Specialist and in close coordination with M&E unit head of NCASC. The Sr. M &E Coordinator requires to overseeing M & E tasks and strengthening all related monitoring and evaluation activities of the national programme in Nepal. S/he will oversee and provide technical support in designing and implementing sound M&E systems that facilitate accurate, complete and timely collection of data and analysis of program performance and impact. S/he will work closely with programme staff, ensuring the development of technical capacity as well as the integration of M&E activities and responsibilities into all aspects of programming.



3. Title : Surveillance Medical Officer-Global Fund Malaria Program
TEAM/PROGRAMME: Malaria

LOCATION:  Biratnagar, Eastern Field Office

GRADE: 4

Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.

ROLE PURPOSE:
Surveillance Medical Officer will be responsible for implementation of malaria program at regional level and ensure all the surveillance activities are going smoothly throughout the country. He/She will be responsible for active case finding surveillance, fever survey, mass blood survey and screening of sub microscopic cases at regional level as well as across the region as per necessary. He/she will also support national Malaria program in different surveys, development of malaria treatment protocol, therapeutic 
efficacy study and other malaria elimination activities at regional level.

Level 3: The post holder will have contact with children and/ or young people either frequently (e.g.  once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the policy checking/ vetting process staff.



ROLE PURPOSE:  
The Senior Program Coordinator - Child Poverty is responsible for ensuring high quality child-focused programs reaching the most vulnerable and deprived and is primarily responsible for the continued development and quality of SC’s Child Poverty works under Eastern Field Office (EFO). Responsibilities include but not limited to defining strategies and thrive for learning. The position will provide technical oversight to all Child Poverty projects in EFO. implementation and monitoring of activities planned. S/He represent child poverty theme of save the children as required at municipal, province, and national level in different forums, meetings and consultations on policy and technical issues. S/He will work in close collaboration with federal/ provincial and municipalities, partner organizations, other INGOs and UN for bringing lasting impacts in the lives of the children through the effective partnership and implementation of CPoV programs.  

In addition, s/he ensures the regular monitoring of key process indicators, their alignment with the project documents; develops related training materials, and support to behaviour change communications, coordinate with relevant stakeholders for sharing of lessons learnt for consistent uptake by other stakeholders.  S/he will engage in communication with donors and member countries for Child Poverty programs under her/his purview. Furthermore, s/he work in close coordination with other thematic areas of save the children.

The post-holder will ensure that research and quality programming form the basis upon which we advocate for changes in policy and practice by key duty-bearers at local, provincial and national levels. Plays a leading role in designing projects in field offices, programmes and research, including approaches to partnerships and advocacy and building field office (and partners’) capacity and reputation to deliver technically sound Child Poverty programming and policy work. S/he will also be responsible for representation and networking with donors and government (local, provincial and national), as well as key internal stakeholders from across SCI. S/he will also contribute to the development and implementation of SC’s global policies and strategies on Child Poverty, as a member of the SC community of interest on child poverty.
