Most of the local level reached the branch of the Commercial Bank
The policy of NRB, which is providing branches of commercial banks at all local levels, is nearing completion. Out of 753 local levels, 739 local levels commercial banks have opened branches. The remaining 8 locals claim that the NRB will reach the branch of Commerce Bank soon.
Currently, there are 28 commercial banks in operation. According to the district, the presence of commercial banks in all. However, due to the custom of opening a branch in the city and headquarters of the district, the general public could not access the bank. On the one hand, it was common for those who did not know how to do business from a bank. Therefore, their money was either invested in interest or kept under the head. By doing so, many of the capital in rural areas could not be integrated into the national economy.
In view of this fact, the Rastra Bank has come up with a policy that it should branch at all local levels, not in the district. Of course, development banks and microfinance branches have reached the rural areas. However, it became mandatory even after the government appropriated the local budget through the Commercial Bank. Therefore, Rastriya Banijay bank also encouraged the Commercial Bank to go up to the rural level and it is finally in full swing.
